DIY - How to have the coolest birthday partaay ever!

Hello my chummies, yesterday was my birthday partaay, so this post is disguised as a DIY but it's really just me rambling about the awesomeness of my party. So, step one - give your party a THEME! Mine was film-themed, which was really good, because it meant we could do fancy dress e.t.c - everyone came dressed as film characters! Here is a photo of us all:
And oui, I kept everyone anonymoose/anonymouse/anontimus with flowers and buttons, which could be either awesome or creepy, I can't decide. Most people don't have blogs, but the peeps who do are: Hannah, top row third from left (Cinderella in rags), Hollie, far right on top row (Dorothy), Lois, in fron of Dorothy (Alice in Wonderland), Bronia, the rows get a bit confused here, but she's wearing a red cape ***which she made*** (Little Red Riding Hood), and uhh...me, near the front, with blazer/umbrella/black stuff - I was Mary Poppins! So yeah, it was really fun dressing up! Step two - decor. I don't know if it paid off or not, but I spent SOOO LONG labouring over the table arrangement! Stupidly, I didn't take a picture of it, but I'll try and describe it for you - the tablecloths were all gorgy emboidered thingies, and on them I'd filled jam-jars with lavendar, put out mini purple candles, and cut teenie-weenie little hearts out of book paper! I was muy pleased with the overall look. Step 3 - Entertainment!

Since it was a film party, we watched a..you guessed it...FILM! the film we settled on was The Princess bride, which if you don't know it is a wonderfully awesome fairytale-style film, which (among other things) involves a princess called Buttercup, and a very dishy lover called Wesley!
The other thing we did for entertainment was a tweasure hunt around the village, with film-trivia questions built in. I think that went really well, and got everyone moving/thinking - and we certainly weirded out the locals! As we were driving back after the party, I got all emotional and sentimental, and decided that 'Friends are what matter.' If that wasn't enough sentimentality, I'll leave you with a couple of making-me-cry Winnie The Pooh friendship quotes - toodles!
